What is NLP, and how does it help?

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is an approach to communication and personal development that helps us understand how our minds work and how we can change the way we behave. It developed in the 1970s from studies of the patterns of thought and behaviour seen in highly successful people.

My role as an NLP therapist and coach is to empower individuals to unlock their potential for change, and remodel unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving. As I’ve trained to an advanced level in several NLP therapy specialisms, I can offer a flexible approach to helping clients that achieves results in the shortest possible time.

How does NLP coaching help?

NLP coaching helps you understand the language of your mind, and how your experiences have shaped the behaviours and attitudes that you have today. Building on these insights, you’ll learn techniques to help you to change how you communicate with yourself, remodel unwanted behaviours, and make positive changes in your life.

How does NLP help children and teenagers?

I offer safe, effective NLP therapy for children and teens that helps develop essential life skills such as communication, confidence and self-esteem. Learning to control their thoughts, emotions and behaviour, and to think in new ways can benefit both educational achievement, and their activities and relationships outside school. I can also help young people achieve specific goals with NLP coaching, eg preparing for exams, interviews, sports events, or performances. As a qualified NLP4Kids practitioner, I am experienced in adapting NLP therapies, strategies and skills to be fun and easy for children and teenagers to use.

Personal Breakthrough is a two-day intensive NLP therapy programme which is ideal for anyone who wants to overcome issues affecting their personal or professional life in a short space of time. Following an initial consultation, I will design a tailored programme of personal NLP coaching, Time Line Therapy™ and hypnotherapy to meet your specific needs. I’ve created Personal Breakthrough sessions for clients focusing on issues around relationships, family, career, health and wellbeing, and spirituality. I can also offer more general personal growth sessions. Time Line Therapy™

Time Line Therapy™ is a therapeutic process which can help you let go of negative emotions, anxiety and limiting beliefs attached to past painful events. Freeing yourself from anger, hurt, sadness, fear and guilt can enable you to move forward with your life in a more positive way. Since it was established in the 1980s, many people have successfully used Time Line Therapy™ to find emotional balance and create quick but lasting change in their lives. I offer Time Line Therapy™ within Personal Breakthrough sessions and as a standalone therapy. An individual Time Line Therapy™ session lasts for 4 hours.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation which opens up your subconscious mind – the part of your mind that works behind the scenes, looking after all the things you do automatically ‘without thinking’. During hypnotherapy, your subconscious mind is open to suggestions for new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that will support the changes you want to achieve in your life. By giving you access to your unconscious thought processes, hypnosis allows greater control over how you think and behave.
